Origin

Origin is a household name in Australia as one of the biggest energy producers in the country and one of the leading energy retailers, with over 4.2 million customers choosing them for their energy needs. As an energy producer, Origin is the largest owner of carbon-friendly gas-fired power stations, emitting about half the carbon of a coal-fired power station. They also export energy, supplying LNG to customers in Asia as part of a joint venture with Australia Pacific LNG.

1st Energy

1st Energy launched into the Australian electricity market in 2014 and broke ground in 2019 when they broke the electricity retailer monopoly in Tasmania.
