Take the stress out of moving day with ActewAGL’s same-day connection service. By completing an online request before 1 pm, or calling before 2 pm, you can have your power switch on the same day if you meet these criteria.
Your new home may not be eligible for same-day connection if it has been over 12 months since electricity has been connected, it has been deemed unsafe, the meter is not accessible or not in working order, the wrong address or date was provided or circumstances beyond ActewAGL’s control such as weather events or natural disasters.
We recommend giving at least 3 business days’ notice of your intended move-in date to avoid delays or disruptions.

ActewAGL customers may be eligible for an upgrade to a reverse-cycle air heating and cooling unit. There are two options, depending on your current system.
Ducted Gas Heating Upgrade
To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have ducted gas heating.
Flued Gas Heater Upgrade
To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have a flued gas heater.
As an ActewAGL customer, you may be eligible to upgrade your electric water heater to a more energy-efficient system.
To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have a gas or electric water heater.
You can call and talk to a local expert at ActewAGL on 13 14 93 on Monday to Friday between 8am–6pm (except public holidays). ActewAGL’s customer service team is wholly based in Canberra, creating local jobs and offering a local expertise to their customers.
