Compare energy plans from ActewAGL

Whatever your energy usage looks like, ActewAGL has got a plan to help maximise your savings. You can choose from the plans below and further tailor them with a time of use (ToU) and/or controlled load tariff to suit the needs of your home.

Capital – get huge savings with electricity rates at 23% less than the reference price plus a 10c/kWh FiT with a 1-year benefit period and no lock-in contract.
Simple Saver – this no frill plans give you rates of 14% less than the reference price plus a 10c/kWh FiT with a 1-year benefit period and no lock-in contract.
Standard Plan – this standing offer is equal to the reference price with a 10c/kWh FiT, an ongoing contract and your choice of communications.
Solar Saver – get the most from your solar panels with a high FiT of 12c/kWh. Electricity rates are equal to the reference price with a 1-year benefit period and no lock-in contract.
Battery Saver – customers with solar batteries can receive a 50% discount on their supply charge for 12 months plus electricity rates at 9% less than the reference price and a 10c/kWh FiT.
evEnergy Saver – electric vehicle (EV) owners can receive 4 hours of free home vehicle charging on weekends between 12 pm and 2 pm plus electricity rates of 8% less than the reference price with no lock-in contract. To be eligible, you must own an electric vehicle and have a smart meter installed at your home.

If you have a gas supply to your home, you can also choose one of these gas plans to bundle with your electricity.

Same-day connection when you move with ActewAGL

Take the stress out of moving day with ActewAGL’s same-day connection service. By completing an online request before 1 pm, or calling before 2 pm, you can have your power switch on the same day if you meet these criteria.

Your new home is an ACT residential established site
Business days only
Electricity supply only
Safe and unhindered access to the electricity meter
Connection instructions are followed and implemented

Your new home may not be eligible for same-day connection if it has been over 12 months since electricity has been connected, it has been deemed unsafe, the meter is not accessible or not in working order, the wrong address or date was provided or circumstances beyond ActewAGL’s control such as weather events or natural disasters.

We recommend giving at least 3 business days’ notice of your intended move-in date to avoid delays or disruptions.

Heating and cooling upgrade for your new home

ActewAGL customers may be eligible for an upgrade to a reverse-cycle air heating and cooling unit. There are two options, depending on your current system.

Ducted Gas Heating Upgrade

$1,000 off the cost and installation of your new system.
$500 credit on your ActewAGL electricity bill ($41.67 per quarter for 3 years).
Ongoing savings from a more efficient heating and cooling system.

To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have ducted gas heating.

Flued Gas Heater Upgrade

$500 off the cost and installation of your new system.
$500 credit on your ActewAGL electricity bill ($41.67 per quarter for 3 years).
Ongoing savings from a more efficient heating and cooling system.

To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have a flued gas heater.

Energy-efficient electric water heater upgrade for your new home

As an ActewAGL customer, you may be eligible to upgrade your electric water heater to a more energy-efficient system.

$500 off the cost and installation of your new water heater.
$250 credit on your ActewAGL electricity bill ($20.84 per quarter for 3 years).
Ongoing savings from a more efficient electric water heater.

To be eligible for this offer you must live in the ACT, have an electricity plan with ActewAGL and have a gas or electric water heater.

You can call and talk to a local expert at ActewAGL on 13 14 93 on Monday to Friday between 8am–6pm (except public holidays). ActewAGL’s customer service team is wholly based in Canberra, creating local jobs and offering local expertise to their customers.
