About Aussie Broadband

Aussie is an Australian-owned and operated telecommunications company, offering a full range of broadband plans, including NBN and Opticomm connections. They are Australia’s 5th largest NBN provider and are known for its outstanding customer service, industry-leading technology, and expansive network coverage.

The Aussie customer experience

You only need to glance at all the 5-star reviews on Google, Facebook, and productreview.com.au to know that Aussie Broadband is the real deal!

The Aussie customer experience

They have three call centres, based in Morwell, Dandenong and Perth, with three separate teams for sales, service delivery and customer support. This means you will always talk to someone with expertise in your area of inquiry. They do not use any scripting in their call centres, so you will get a real response to solve your specific request.

Their customer service team is available seven days a week, from 8 am to midnight, so there’s always someone there when you need to talk!

The customer service team are highly trained experts in telecommunications, and you will find they go the extra mile to help solve your problems – they will even assist with PC troubleshooting, WiFi problems and device care to make sure you’re getting the most from your Aussie internet connection.

You can use the app to easily manage your account at any time of the day or night. Some of the highlights include:

  • Track your data usage
  • Connect to a new service such as a mobile or home phone add-on

  • Check for network outages or planned maintenance
  • Contact technical support or troubleshoot broadband issues
  • Conduct a broadband speed test

A network like no other

Aussie Broadband owns and operates their own NBN and fibre network, which means they do not have to rely on third-party providers to arrange new connections or fix faults. For customers, this means consistent high-speed connections that you can rely on.

So what’s their secret? Well, their state-of-the-art NBN network is connected directly to all 121 Points of Interconnect (POIs), bringing nationwide coverage and the ability to connect and restore services fast.

In addition, they have recently built their own 1200 km fibre network to provide more services to customers, with no impact on quality.

But the real secret is their network automation, which sets them apart from other internet providers.

When you connect broadband through Aussie, you will be accessing a precision-controlled network that has been purpose designed to never drop the ball. Their advanced monitoring systems identify and fix faults as quickly as possible so you will never be stuck with lengthy outages.

They also make sure their NBN network never exceeds 80% capacity by using automated systems to monitor traffic at all 121 POIs every 60 seconds. If the network is looking busy, the system automatically orders more bandwidth, so you won’t be slowed down by network congestion, even at the busiest times of the day.

You can see the capacity at your local NBN POI, click here. If you don’t know which POI you are connected to, simply enter your address here to find out.

A couple of notes

*Prices correct in November 2022

^ The maximum speed you can access at your home depends on the type of NBN connection you have. This was determined by the government’s rollout plan. NBN Co is currently completing the Fibre Connect Program, which means in the next two years, approximately 2 million homes with FTTC or FTTN connections will be eligible to be upgraded to an FTTP connection.
